The Dell Webcam Console has cool stuff like lots of voice modifiers and face recognition stuff that likes morphs your face into a werewolf. I have an acer which has the crystal eye webcam, but it didn't come with a cool program like the Dell Webcam thing.

I have double booted dell laptop running Vista and Xp and I want to do a dell factory restore so want to know if the dell factory restore will restore the partitioned hard drive used for xp.Can i do a dell factory restore, keeping any partitioned drives used for Double booting?I'm not 100% sure how the dell partitioning works, but I would say its safe to say yes, it will delete your XP as well. ========================

Most video cards have an S-Video output that can be connected to the TV S-Video input.

Many newer Video cards are available with HDTV and S-Video outputs. HDTV is much higher resolution (720P: 1366 x 768) than S-Video.

The image on the screen has a relationship with your resolution settings. Although all S-Video outputs use a fixed low resolution to maintain compatibility with your TV, it scales according to what the resolution of your computer is set to. Adjust your resolution in the settings tab of your display properties. Use a selection no higher than 800 x 600 with 16-bit color. A setting of 640 x 480 will be much easier to see, but icons and windows will appear very large.

The problem is that vga is a digital signal and s-video is not. So, it's not just about changing the ends of the cable.

Can I use a Dell reinstallation CD home edition XPfor a HP computer XP professional edition?

I have a HP computer running on professional edition XP but I don't have the cd for it. I do have a cd for a Dell windows xp home edition. Can I use that reinstallation cd on my HP computer? My HP computer is acting up and I want to reformat it. Please help. Thank you.Can I use a Dell reinstallation CD home edition XPfor a HP computer XP professional edition?XP Home/Pro Installation/recovery/startup software is non-swappable.

Both HP and Dell have recovery partitions set up to cater for this. Contact HP - you supply machine details and they'll supply instructions and the CD mirror you need. Have you tried tapping %26lt;F8/11/12%26gt; (can't remember which one, 'though I've done it several times before) on startup to enter recovery options?

Visit HP and backup everything, whatever you decide to do.

    Just seen the prev response.

If you do not have a full install disk, and if you created the recovery disk originally, the recovery disk should only work on the Dell, or a machine with similar processor/hardware configuration. I'd be genuinely interested to hear that you've activated the HP using the Dell recovery disk (and which product ID you used for activation). Can I use a Dell reinstallation CD home edition XPfor a HP computer XP professional edition? You should be able to. You'll just get Dell crapware instead of HP crapware. You will also lose the functionality of XP Pro over the Home edition.

Does your computer not have a recovery partition? If not, have you contacted HP? They'll send you disks, possibly for free.
