How can I increase the maximum volume of my new dell latitude d630 speakers?
My old Dell Latitde d505 's speaker is much louder than this new one. This appears strange to me. Can someone show me how to reinstall the drivers and utilities on a Dell laptop? I have the drivers and utilities disc that came with the laptop. I am working on my friend's Dell Inspiron 1750. It needs to have the factory settings restored, but we do not have the recovery disk or a Windows installation disk. It has Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I am able to log in in safe mode only. Is there any way to restore the factory settings without the recovery disk? How do I get my keyboard on my dell latitude c600 to work properly?
I bought a used dell latitude laptop, but it didn't come with any user guides. I noticed a function key and so far it only works with the suspend key. It won't work for volume or display brightness. It worked when I used it the first few times. I must have hit a button that made it stop working. Can any one tell me what I might have done to my keyboard?
Also, the track stick in the middle of the keyboard, I'm suppose to be able to just tap it and it recognize that as a click, it worked the first few times, now the tapping doesn't work.
Another thing, I went into the keyboard set up to try to setup my Dell AccessDirect Key, but when I go into keyboard setup there is no Dell AcccessDirect Key.

I do not think this will do anything bad (it will either work, or not install), but want to warn you as it may cause the system to crash. The reason this is not a guaranteed fix is because the Inspiron 6000 only shipped with the option for XP and not Vista.
Since the system is calling for an Alps driver I would suggest trying a driver from another system with similar hardware that also has Vista drivers. There really isn't anything "wrong" with either system, they both look great. The only thing that I would change for sure would be the warranty. Both come with "Return to Depot" warranty. That means that if something were to go wrong with your system, you would have to send it in to be fixed. I prefer the "Next Business Day" warranty, which sends a technician to my house or business with the part to fix it. Both require that you troubleshoot over the phone first, but that's painless.
I'd maybe add more RAM and perhaps get the higher resolution LCD screen... just in case you are going to be playing games that require a high resolution. On that note, the 1521 comes standard (at no extra charge) with the ATI RADEON? Xpress1270 HyperMemory graphics card, while the 1520's highest option for an extra $200 is the 256MB NVIDIA ?GeForce?8600M GT graphics card.
I think over-all they are both good systems, I'd probably go with the 1521 myself... and I'd go with the Ruby Red!

If it is XP you can press CTRL+F11 at boot and it takes you to a Dell Restore screen, that is if your restore partition is intact, if it is not then you have to load from scratch and use the product key on the bottom of the laptop. If it is Vista, press F8 at boot, go the the boot menu and go to the Repair your computer, from there it should say something about restoring to defaults. But I think this model has XP, so just do the CTRL+F11 deal and follow the prompts. If you don't have this partition but have a CD throw the CD in and reboot the system, it should launch itself , you basically just follow the prompts. Just remember either way you will lose all the information on your system.

If your current keyboard has such keys, a new keyboard may or may not have them. If it has similar keys, you would likely need to use the software supplied with that keyboard to access those keys. Any Dell-supplied application for handling the special keys may or may not work with a different keyboard.
As a side note, I'm using a Dell-branded keyboard (actually made by Microsoft and OEMed by Dell) on a desktop I built myself. It has one button labeled "Dell Support" and another labeled "Dell.com." Since I don't have the special keyboard software from Dell, the Dell Support button brings up the Calcuator and the Dell.com button brings up My Computer (as those buttons do on the regular non-Dell branded versions of the same Microsoft keyboard).

the only chance to find a new motherboard and cpu is on ebay. not a single retailer (neither Newegg nor Tigerdirect) does sell laptop motherboards. as far as i remember, Dell did solder the cpu at this time on a separate little board so it's not possible to get a standard laptop cpu (very clever from Dell, so they could sell replacement parts for a fortune).

My friend did a System Restore the wrong way. So i tried to reboot my computer by taping F8 and i couldn't find [Repair My Computer] option in the Advanced Boot Menu. So i have no idea on how to do a Dell Factory Image Restore. Miandad told journalists that the enough time made him sure that ONLY FULL TOSS was going to come targeting the middle stump so that no wide ball is there giving an extra ball %26amp; he already decided what to do. That was published in Sportstar weekly too. Chetan was bitterly criticised by Indian media for bowling a full toss as if they only knew cricket, as I could find out from records in libraries.

People kept using his name in sarcastic dialogues to vilify rivals for next 10 years in private %26amp; govt offices too, it was learnet. Aren't such frenzy arousals avoidable ? Is it for TRP ?

nationalism is not a thing to show by words or throwing sarcasm on others... but its something that you have to prove by your deeds...like many great men /patriots have done !
