Am I able to use a reinstallation dvd for a Dell computer in a Sony computer?

I am wondering if I am able to use a reinstallation dvd for a Dell computer in a Sony computer, even if they are two different computer brands.Am I able to use a reinstallation dvd for a Dell computer in a Sony computer?No. The 'copy' of windows that came with the Dell is only VALID for THAT Dell PC.

But the copy of Windows needs to be the same of the computer you are putting it into otherwise it will not work write, for example putting a 64 bit version of Windows 7 into a computer that doesn't meet the specification, mainly RAM of 2gb or more it will not run.Am I able to use a reinstallation dvd for a Dell computer in a Sony computer?Yes if they are the same version of windows - eg. xp home or windows7 ultimate
