How long does it usually take Dell to ship out a new laptop?

I just ordered a Dell XPS M1530 on Thursday and the website says that it will ship on the 23rd. Is this about how long it usually takes Dell to ship a product or are they just over estimating to be safe?How long does it usually take Dell to ship out a new laptop?When I ordered a desktop from Dell, it took over a month for them to finally deliver.



It really depends on how you payed and if you customized it, though. If you used a credit card, then the estimate for the 23rd is probably pretty accurate.

They do this day in and day out, and know how long it will take to build it and ship it. The only reason I could see it being off is if it's a highly customized computer.
