My partner has had a burning sensation on the end of his penis after urination - much more so if he urinates in the night the returns to bed in a lying down position. the problem began 6 days ago and has gotten a bit worse each day. He has no typical symptoms of bladder infection, such as tight full bladder and terrible burning during urination - it only burns after urination and for up to a couple hours after. He dreads getting up in the night for a wee because that seems to be the worst while he lies back down. He feels not near as much pain while standing up. He went to doctors two days ago and gave a urine sample. was told the results would be back today. Now the drs office says it got delayed and results would come back on Monday as they are doing further tests because the standard tests (bladder infection, thrush and STD's) have come back negative. He is in agony and cant get rid of the pain.
I have had several episodes of PID in the past due to a Merina coil that I have fitted. I have had some abdominal pain and nauseau the past couple of weeks and think it has flared up again. The soonest my doctor can see me is Wenesday next week.
Could I have given some kind of bacterial infection to my partner because of this PID? Has this happened to anyone else?Could bacteria from Pelvic Inflammatory Disorder be passed onto my partner and cause him an infection?
Definately yes; my wife and I had similar troublesCould bacteria from Pelvic Inflammatory Disorder be passed onto my partner and cause him an infection?
Chlamydia and gonorrhea are the two bacteria that cause most cases of PID. Both diseases do not have any noticeable symptoms. You can spread STD to your partner and vice-versa.
His urine should be collected in a sterile bottle and sent for culture.Could bacteria from Pelvic Inflammatory Disorder be passed onto my partner and cause him an infection?
Absolutely. It's not bacteria it's a virus, but yes. It can and does infect men, just in a different way.
i don't undwerstand why they can't put him on meds anyway. Change docs or go to a crawl in clinic.
