My boyfriend and I are both huge fans of The Office, and while I can set my DVR to catch the latest ep. he's in Dublin and can not. In the past I would download the ep's on itunes and file transfer it to him, or sometimes we would get lucky and it would be posted on utube. Now because NBC is offering full episodes on their website itunes is no longer available and utube seems to be enforcing copyright rules. Since his IP address is Irish he can not take advantage of the episodes on NBC. Does anyone have any ideas of how I can get the episodes to him, we both really love the show and it is one of our favorite things to do together, which are very few because of the distance. I was thinking he could use a proxy server to hide his IP address and we could watch on NBC, problem is even with all the research I've done on proxy servers I still don't understand how they work. Also, he uses a mac, is a proxy server compatible? Thank you in advanced for any solutions or info on proxy's.Can a proxy server be used to hide your IP address to watch NBC's full episodes from outside the US?
This is a hard questions since most public proxies I tried are very very slow he wouldn't be able to them even though his Ip is hidden.
Since he is using a mac further complicates the situation since I live outside the united states as well and wanted to see those videos I was successful using GOOGLE WEB ACCELERATOR but I think it only works on Windows.
There is one another way it works he would need to try and install a US version of AOL 9.* it also uses AOL proxies that are in the US but once again I know they work for Windows but I dont have any idea if they work for MACCan a proxy server be used to hide your IP address to watch NBC's full episodes from outside the US?
