Watching videos on your computer from online?

last night i tried watching a live hockey game and it was working great but then it started becoming very choppy and it kept stopping and today i tried watching full episodes of the office online and that became very choppy too..how do i get my videos to come in clear and not be choppy anymore? do i have to go to a different setting or should i download something to make it better? my computer is a toshiba laptop its from 2006 and i recently just added memory, i dont know if that makes a difference or not. thanksWatching videos on your computer from online?
it has to do with your internet speed, are you sharing your internet connection with other ppl? if they are using a lot of bandwidth, then your video will not stream properly and get choppyWatching videos on your computer from online?
This could be a network or performance issue, there's not enough info to be sure.

I would recommend going into your power settings which are in control panel. Your laptop is probably going into a low power mode and turning the CPU and other components down. This would happen if you started to watch something and didn't touch the keyboard or mouse for a few minutes. In the power settings tell it to take longer to go to low power, or turn the low power settings off completely while watching video.Watching videos on your computer from online?
I just had this problem, I upgraded my internet speed, it is much better and now I can watch news, sports, videos.
