Help with doggy sitting?

So the dog is a gorgeous Cocker Spaniel. His owner is a forty-some year old lady who loves him so much. She is amazing with him - she taught him every trick in the book and he is a perfect house dog.

She has a daily routine worked out. She works 5-7pm at her office on weekdays, and she has weekends off. So, he has a bed in her room and he would get up at EXACTLY 7:30am just like her and they would watch an episode of their favorite soap opera together on the big screen in her room (a rather wealthy lady) and then go prepare breakfast. They ate at exactly 8:45. She gave Eddie 1/2 can of moist food, 1/2 cup of dry, and then some yogurt of some sort.. I don't know I thought it would be unhealthy but the vet assured her it's all the perfect diet. Then she and the dog would finish eating at 9am and make their beds(it was hilarious she taught the dog exactly how to pull her pillow perfectly into place and push the doggy -bed into the corner it was supposed to be in) then at 9:15 they would go for a walk around the block. After their walk, at 9:45, she would brush Eddie's hair like a hundred strokes or some weird thing like that, and have a "snack" (usually a cheese stick for her and a doggy buiscuit for him). Then she would take a shower at 10am. The dog would wait outside the shower for her, and at 10:30am she would come out and they would play until maybe 11am or 11:30am, then relax until noon. at 12pm they ate lunch, which was, for him, 1 cup of kibble and 1/2 can of moist food. At 12:30pm they would relax on the sofa in the den and listen to soothing sounds of waterfalls, or nature sounds, which she said helped the food digest smoothly. Then after their "relaxation time", at 1pm, she would always go over some basic tricks. Sit, shake, play dead, roll over, and etc. Then, after he was warmed up, at 1:30pm, she goes into the "training area" (which is like a huuuge room in her basement full of obstacles and stuff for the dog) and practices the more extravagant tricks. When they get done, 2:15pm maybe 2:30pm, they have another snack (which is equivalent to the other one) and go for a drive. They drive around town, or to the park, or anywhere really. Maybe visit some family-they stay gone a good hour and a half or two. So at 3:30pm / 4:00pm they would come home and she would do any typical housekeeping... like sweeping, dusting, picking up clutter.. she made sure it didn't take over 30 minutes, though. So she got done at 4:30pm just in time for a 10 minute "yoga" session before work. It wasn't yoga, though, it was just stretching... the dog did some cute tricks as he watched her stretch, then they would eat another snack and she fixed her hair and changed and off to work.

The dog would then be crated for the two hours she was gone. Just to "teach him discipline" she said.

When she came home at 7 she uncrated him and they relaxed for a couple minutes before she made supper. Supper usually consisted of 1 can of moist food, and 1 cup of dry food + a cheese stick (i know she's obsessed with cheese sticks right??). She refused to listen to anyone who told her it was unhealthy. So then they ate at 7:30 and had to be done by 7:45 so she could take him for another walk, this time on a trail by the lake. This walk was a good 3-4 miles, and lasted a couple hours. they got back at 9:00pm or so ,and she changed into pajamas and they both had a lot of water. She played some solitare and checked facebook or whatever while he relaxed with his toys doing whatever he pleased. Then at about 11:30 they crawled into bed. She let him sit by her in her bed while they watched two episodes of some tv show, but then she said goodnight to him and he crawled into his own bed and they fell asleep to the weather channel on low volume.

Saturday, they got up, ate breakfast(same routine) then did what they do daily until 12:30pm when they went to a day-spa in town and just chilled out there.. got home at 7:00 or so in time to make supper and finish the day.

Sunday was the same as weekdays except church at 2:00pm to 2:30pm and 5:00pm to 6:00pm.

i'm not even kidding you.. i would die if my entire day revolved around my dog like that lol.. but yeah she enjoys it so whatever floats her boat!

so my question is - im babysitting her dog for two months (AHH) and he's a really sweet dog but im so nervous. She pays EXTREMELY well i was like whoa dude is he a dog or a 250 ft slab of gold?? and so anyway lol i don't want to mess up because i might become her regular doggysitter (PRAISE BE IM FILTHY RICH) if i do this right..

so can i change anything in the routine? are there any tips i should know about dogsitting? what if i mess up? what if he potties in the house? if i mess something up do i tell her or leave it be?

Sounds like you already have everything down pat.

Write down his schedule. Sit down and ask the lady a specific list of do's and don't's that you might not be aware of.

It's always better to be honest if you make a mistake. You probably will make mistakes. Sounds like she would probably find out anyways. I wouldn't risk lying if it pays well and sounds like an easy job.Help with doggy sitting?
